Nature of the service

Maison Luciole is a service provider handling the contents and home of an estate. It carries out no regulated activity falling within notarial practice, public auctions, court-appointed expertise or property transactions. In particular:

it conducts no auctions, which are the preserve of a licensed auction house;
it produces no legally binding valuations, which are the responsibility of the auctioneer, the judicial officer or the notary;
it carries out no settlement or division of the estate, which are the notary’s responsibility;
it receives no payment from any estate agency for referring business.

The reports and lists delivered in the course of a mission explicitly state that they are for information only and not legally binding.
